Introduction
Service-learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with education and reflection. The pillars of service-learning are built on collaboration between the students, schools, and communities. Thanks to it, universities fulfill their basic mission in a complex way and prepare a new generation of students able to integrate academic qualities, social responsibility and civic engagement. Social work education gives a great space for the application of this strategy with many documented benefits. On this website, we are offering some examples and sources to help develop and implement service learning in social work education.
The website was created as a output of the project “Service-learning – Engaged and Collaborative Teaching and Learning in Social Work” supported by EASSW – European Association of Schools of Social Work.
